Design Reviews
You have an existing product, design proposal, or spec and would like independent feedback to make sure that it’s useful, usable and intuitive, desirable, principled, and polished to its target users. Let us perform a design review to help you make it as good as it can be.
Scope
While we can review your design to address any specific concerns you have, we recommend looking for the following:
- Useful
Is your product useful? Does it perform its tasks and achieve your users’ goals and solve their problems well? Does the design support the top scenarios well? - Usable and intuitive
Is your product intuitive by being easy to understand, feeling simple and natural, and working as expected? Can users perform tasks without unnecessary thought, experimentation, assistance, or special training? Can they explore without fear of penalty or unintended consequences, or of getting lost. Is it efficient to use, with appropriate defaults and no unnecessary steps or effort? Is it forgiving and handle errors well? Is it accessible? - Desirable
Will users like your product? Will they want to buy it and use it? Does it look great and feel great? Does it meet or even exceed expectations? Is it responsive? Does it make an emotional connection? Does it have the right personality? Is it fun to use? - Principled
Does your product conform to common design principles and guidelines? Does it stand out while fitting it? - Polished
Does your product have attention to detail? Does it feel polished and high quality?
Deliverables
A report with an overall impression of the product, along with a complete list of any problems found with their priority and recommended solution. We recommend wrapping the design review with a conference call to discuss the results.
