Take your design to the next level with UX Design Edge consulting

Let UX Design Edge help you and your team create a great user experience through efficient, practical, cost effective design consulting.

Leverage our expertise in interaction design to make your product successful by fulfilling its purpose well and delighting its users—at any stage of the development process.

How does your consulting process work?

The first step is to understand your product and your goals for the consultation. For most consultations, we’ll need to get familiar with your product’s UX, its target users, and the top scenarios. For simple projects, these initial steps usually take only a few hours but they may take significantly longer for larger projects. We will also need a list of team contacts so that we can ask questions and get additional information as needed.

With the goals set, we can focus on satisfying your goals and creating a report of our findings and recommendations. We’ll wrap up with a conference call to discuss the results. For most projects, email, phone calls, and video conferences are sufficient.

What’s the difference between the different types of reviews?

The project concept review determines if your new product concept makes sense from your target users’ point of view—so that they will actually want it, buy it, and use it. The design review determines if your product is well designed in the most general sense. A design makeover reworks your existing design to make it more intuitive, simple, easy to use, and standard. The design principle and guideline review determines if your design confirms with design standards and as a result feels “intuitive”. The trust and confidence review determines if users trust your product and feel confident using it. Finally, the polish review determines that your design is well implemented at the detail level.

Ideally, you should do all six types of reviews, but offering them separately helps you target your specific needs. A project concept review will have the most impact during the product planning phase, but the other reviews can be performed at any time.

Do I have to choose one of these design reviews?

No! We would be happy to help you improve your product any way we can. We’ve listed the various design reviews to showcase our specialties and to give us a way to frame the discussion.

What about visual design, icons, and logos?

While our specialty is interaction design, we can help you with your visual design needs too. We partner with some of the best visual design firms in the business.
